Learn of powerful ways nature-rich classrooms and experiences support children’s holistic development.
This Live Online session will help participants discover new “eyes” to see the valuable and unique whole-child learning that occurs in natural outdoor classrooms. We will explore tools educators can use to identify, assess, and support the wide variety of skills children are developing as they interact with nature and natural materials. Join us as we learn strategies for making learning visible for children, staff, families, and the professional community.
By the end of this workshop, participants will:
- Feel refreshed, empowered, engaged, and curious about nurturing children’s development and connection to nature
- Understand whole-child development and how natural materials and well-designed natural outdoor classrooms support it
- Learn to actively observe, understand, and support children as they explore and learn
