A Growing Community
What a thrilling week! Surrounded by the wonders of nature at the Lied Lodge and Conference Center in Nebraska City, Nebraska, a motivated group of natural outdoor classroom users and advocates came together during the Nature Explore/Outdoor Classroom Project Leadership Institute to learn from each other and enhance our shared mission of connecting children with nature. I saw first-hand how engaged participants, presenters, hosts and staff members united as a community to support stronger connections to nature.
Hear what this year’s participants had to say about their time at the Leadership Institute:
“It was a rewarding and worthwhile experience – I am leaving with new resolve and inspiration and hope to motivate my staff to do even more than they/we do outdoors.”
“Phenomenal. It was such a source of positivity, love and joy. I enjoyed all of the activities and amazing people in the room.”
“Invigorating and refreshing. It was also captivating and enlightening in that I was able to reflect on myself as an educator.”
“I learned a lifetime of information in 4 days. Wow, how do I begin – so glad to have finally been able to attend. The supportive encouraging environment – over 200 people became a community. The learning, inspiration, networking, conversation, sharing, was beyond my expectations and I have much to process.”
“Rejuvenating – it’s a time for connection and reflection.”
